  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • User role (buyer, agent, or admin)
  • Listing details submitted by agents or homeowners
  • Lead inquiry information submitted by buyers, including estimated downpayment, credit score range, veteran status, pre-approval status, and notes
  • Saved listings and browsing activity
  • DRE license number and brokerage name (agents only)

2. How We Use It

Your information is used to:

  • Operate and maintain the marketplace
  • Match buyer inquiries with listing agents
  • Notify listing agents when a buyer submits an inquiry
  • Facilitate communication between buyers and agents
  • Improve and optimize the service
  • Communicate important updates about your account or listings

3. Who We Share Data With

We share your data only as necessary to operate the service:

  • Listing Agents — when you submit a lead inquiry, your contact information and inquiry details are shared with the listing agent
  • Platform Administrators — to review listings, manage leads, and ensure platform quality
  • Service Providers — third-party services that help us operate (see Section 5)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
  • Correction — update your personal information through your account settings
  • Opt Out — opt out of marketing communications at any time

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Passage:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — hosting, deployment, and analytics

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Data Retention

Your data remains active while your account is active. Specific retention periods:

  • Lead inquiries — retained for up to 7 years for transaction record-keeping
  • Inactive accounts — retained for up to 3 years, then eligible for deletion
  • Listing data — retained while the listing is active; archived after expiration or sale

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests promptly.

7. Cookies & Analytics

Passage uses the following cookies and analytics tools:

  • Supabase Auth Cookies — session tokens used to keep you logged in (essential, cannot be disabled)
  • Vercel Analytics — anonymous page performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, page load times)

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know — you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to Delete — you may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you
  • Right to Opt Out — you may opt out of the sale of your personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
  • Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights
